Nurturing of intelligent and internationally competent nursing practitioners for the 21st century global era
Overview
- Training of international nurses for overseas employment: The educational goal of the Nursing Department at Kyungil University is to train nursing practitioners required by various nursing fields such as general hospitals, health care centers, schools, and industry. It also aims to educate nursing personnel who demonstrate leadership in the local community, the nation and the world. Through their acquisition of the American Nurses (NCLEX-RN) license, we particularly focus on developing human resources who are internationally competent nursing practitioners who can be employed overseas in The United States, Canada, and Australia, etc;
- Excellent clinical practice hospitals and educational environment: We provide on-site practical education while cooperating with industry and hospitals. We have been contracted for university-industry cooperation within 17 excellent regional general and specialized hospitals including Kyungpook National University Hospital and Keimyung University Dongsan Medical Center, etc. We have excellent academic and clinical facilities including the most advanced medical appliances, science laboratories, Fundamental Nursing Labs, and a simulation laboratory.
- International programs and Utilization of foreign professors: We have been affiliated with overseas universities such as in the United States at California State University of San Marcos, Christopher Newport University and the University of Saskatchewan, Canada. Exchange programs for nursing students with overseas hospitals have been planned. In addition, you can develop language skills such as English communication skills and TOEIC through lessons from foreign professors, and native English speakers.

- American Nurses (NCLEX-RN) preparation courses and individual study directed by professors
