If you want to learn about an exciting way to get some exercise, enjoy the beautiful weather, and compete against your friends in a fun game, then come out and join us for our special lecture on Ultimate Frisbee. Ultimate Frisbee is a team sport played with a flying disc (Frisbee). The object of the game is to score points by passing the Frisbee to your teammates in the other team’s end zone. It’s a great way to run around and exercise while testing your skills throwing a Frisbee to your teammates. Come learn the basic rules and terminology as well as get a chance to practice your skills and play a game of Ultimate Frisbee with your fellow students and instructors Mike, Scott, and Paul.
Mike is from Detroit, Michigan in the USA and has been working in Korea for over four years. He enjoys playing many kinds of sports and has played regularly in the Republic of Korea Ultimate Frisbee league for the past three years. This league currently has eighteen teams competing from all over Korea including six teams from Daegu. He will use his experience to help you learn and enjoy the game of Ultimate Frisbee.
Scott is from Glastonbury, Connecticut, USA. He has lived in Korea for 5 years. He has also participated in the Republic of Korea Ultimate Frisbee league and is known for his incredibly accurate hammer throws. He will be sure to show you how to master your throws just like him. Paul is also from the USA, born in Parkersburg, West Virginia. He has been teaching in Korea since early 2010, and taught in the USA for a few years before moving here. He loves playing any sport and has participated in football, bowling, soccer, and softball leagues in the past. While he has never played in the Republic of Korea Ultimate Frisbee League, he enjoys tossing a Frisbee around the park in his free time.
Come join in for the fun, but be prepared to get your exercise for the day at the same time. |
