If you were to travel, where would you go? Paris? London? New York? Toronto? But before you can ever get to your dream destination, you must first, plan your holiday! Planning a holiday, particularly in a country that does not speak the same language as you, can be difficult and tiresome, but what if.... you had an English speaking person, that has the experience in these countries, to help you. In Travel (planning a vacation), you will have the opportunity to plan a vacation with English speakers who have that experience. This class is designed to make planning your dream holiday as easy as possible for you. So first, let’s introduce those English speaking teachers.

First is Mark, a 23 year old from Ireland. He arrived in Korea 2 years ago and spent two years teaching in O-sung Middle School in Manchon. He graduated from Maynooth University in Ireland in 2009. He has travelled all across Europe including, France, Italy, Germany, Spain and Portugal, along with many trips to England to visit family.
Natalie is from Toronto, Canada. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Education with a major in Early Childhood Education. She completed a CELTA certification in 2012 and is currently working on a Masters Degree in TESOL. She began her teaching career in Taichung, Taiwan and has taught in Korea since 2006.
Michael studied Earth Science at Virginia Tech and has been living in Daegu for over 7 years. He enjoys studying, exercising, and exploring new places.

During the class, the student’s knowledge of world travel will be tested, along with getting the basis to prepare that dream trip, they have always wished for. The beginning of the class will see the teachers introduce themselves and the concept for the class. Many reasons for wanting to go travelling stem from a person’s love for a famous monument or building. The beginning of the class will focus on this concept. From there, the teachers will begin a demonstration of the ways to access information for travelling on the internet. This will give the students a basis to begin researching their own vacation. Students will break up into groups and begin planning a group vacation. The students will be required to present their vacation once they are finished. Finally, the teams will set up against each other and finish off with a travel quiz game.
