In just 5 short years, Korea will be host to the 2018 Winter Olympics. Korea has done well in winter sports such as short track speed skating and figure skating but we will introduce one of the most exciting team sports of the winter Olympics; ice hockey!

Ice hockey is one of the fastest team sports in the world. It will be one of the main sports for the winter Olympics. We will introduce you to some of the rules of the game and some vocabulary so that you can learn about this exciting sport. We will show you some videos and demonstrate some of the skills needed to play ice hockey. We will also give you the opportunity to practice your passing and shooting skills!

Canadian teachers Derek Enns and John Beaton will be your presenters. Both have played hockey since they were elementary students and both still play hockey every week in Daegu with the Daegu Giants ice hockey team. Derek Enns is from St. Thomas, Ontario, home to famous hockey player Joe Thornton of the San Jose Sharks. John Beaton is from Nova Scotia, home to one of the world���s best hockey players, Sidney Crosby.
