The Department of Renewable Energy at Kyungil University has been selected in the field of ‘Hydrogen Fuel Cell Manpower Training Base Track’ promoted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry & Energy-affiliated organization, Korea Institute of Energy Technology Evaluation and Planning.
Professor Park Jin-Nam, the director of the Energy Human Resource Training Project at the “Energy Human Resource Training Workshop’ that was held at COEX in Seoul, was given a plaque for his achievements in the area of ‘new business of energy human resource training project selection’ and also exhibited a promotional poster advertising a ‘Hydrogen Fuel Cell Manpower Training Base Track in K.I.U.’ on August 29th, 2013.
The ‘Hydrogen Fuel Cell Manpower Training Base Track’ focuses on training practical field-type human resources and the development of the hydrogen and fuel cell industry in the Daegu-Gyungbuk region and financial support of 11 billion won has been pledged to the project over the next the next four years (Step 1, 2: 2 years).
Professors Park Jin-Nam, Choi Jong-Ho, Kang Gwang-Sun and Yoon Dong-Hee from the Department of Renewable Energy and Professors Choi Ho-Sang-Hee and Park Yeong-Tae from the Department of Chemical Engineering also participated in this project.
A total of 10 companies from the agency are participating in the ‘Hydrogen Fuel Cell Manpower Training Base Track’ and the agency signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Kyungil University.
Professor Park Jin-Nam said “We are looking forward to re-vitalizing the hydrogen cell industry through expanding the hydrogen cell industry, providing scholarship assistance for excellent students, providing study abroad opportunities and through the operation of the fuel cell industry council with specialized companies.” |
