The Kyungil University Department of Nursing held a ���Love Life Keeper (Gatekeeper)��� appointment ceremony in its library auditorium on September 11th. There were approximately 330 people, including numerous professors and students from the Department of Nursing accompanied by Gatekeeper supporters.

A total of 36 supporters, including Professor Yoo So-Yeon, who was appointed as the Gatekeeper guiding professor, received a letter of appointment from the Gyeongsan Health Center. They pledged to actively participate in suicide prevention activities while reading the Seven Declarations of the Gatekeeper, which supports the theme of ���Life in itself is worthy of dignity, should be respected and be the top priority.���  

Those students who were appointed as Gatekeepers by Gyeongsan City will lead suicide prevention activities by participating in campaigns and monitoring suicide related web sites. Also, those from the university will be responsible for creating a positive atmosphere, one encouraging a culture of respect for life and promoting mental health as Gatekeepers.
