Lecture Topic: Tailgating

Are you social? Do you like BBQ and being outdoors? Tailgating is an event that occurs (usually outside) before major sporting and music events. Families, friends, and fans assemble in a field or a parking lot before an event and bring lots of food, drinks, music and games. Most big sports and music fans have experienced tailgating at least once in their lives, but the international community, for the most part, are not aware of this type of event.

Mike Conery is from Seattle Washington and went to Washington State University. He has organized many tailgating events and partaken in many others. He is an avid fan of American style BBQ and loves to cook outdoors and socialize with friends.

Ryan Mondor is from Stillwater Minnesota and went to the University of Minnesota. He comes from a family of sports fans who frequently would have family gatherings before various sporting events every spring, summer and fall. Being outdoors with friends and family and enjoying the weather before a sporting event is one of the most enjoyable activities you can do with your friends.

Daniel Jackson is from south Alabama, but he attended the small private college of Berea College in Berea, Kentucky. While in college he attended several sporting events and cheered on his favorite teams. Sports have been a huge part of his life since he was a child. Sporting events are so important that many gatherings of family and friends are scheduled around sporting events. Being a “country boy”, Daniel is no stranger to outdoor events like tailgating.
