Lesson Plan: Introduce three basketball mini-games (P-I-G, knockout, 21) in the classroom and explain the rules of each. Divide the class into three groups and go to the gym. Rotate the groups through three game stations, allowing each student to play each game.

Goal for this lecture: Teach several recreational basketball games that can be played with small or large groups. These games do not require the players to have a full understanding of traditional basketball rules, and can be played by players of varying skill levels.

Number of students invited: 27 students
Location: KIU Gymnasium
Materials needed: 6 basketballs

If you enjoy playing basketball or you just want to come and try something new and fun come join us for our basketball mini-games special lecture. We will explain and demonstrate how to play 3 very fun and exciting mini games that you can play with small or large numbers of friends. Students will learn the rules for P-I-G, 21 and Knockout and then have time to enjoy playing all three with fellow students and English professors Mike, Scott, and Paul.

Mike is from Detroit, Michigan and loves playing all sports. He graduated from Michigan State University with a bachelor degree in park, recreation, and tourism resources. Mike has been living and teaching in Korea for over four years now and this is his second semester as an English professor at KIU. He will teach you how to play P-I-G and show you his trick shot skills.

Scott is from Glastonbury, Connecticut. In his free time he enjoys cooking, reading and playing sports. He studied English Literature at Fordham University in New York City. He has spent the last 5 years teaching and living in Korea. He will show you how to play the game 21 and try to come out the big winner.

Paul is from Parkersburg, West Virginia. He graduated from Marshall University, where he studied Psychology. Paul has lived in Korea for 4 years and has been teaching at Kyungil for one year. He grew up playing soccer and baseball, but enjoys playing all sports. He will explain how to play Knockout and will try to out hustle you for the win.

So come join us in the gym to learn some fun new basketball games and compete with each other to see who has the best basketball skills!
