Professor Jung Bok-Sang of Kyungil University, from the School of Design, Life Design Major, will have an exhibition of his works at the Multi Art Hall in the Susung Artpia from the 5th to the 10th of November.
Professor Jung has been working on modeling trees since he is fascinated with the concept of ‘Living Together’ through trees. A centuries-old tree can into a beautiful sculpture by Professor Jung’s work. There will more than 30 pieces exhibited including ‘Mother’s Arm’ series, ‘Trace’ series, and he expressed the artistry that was accumulated over the years through growth rings.
Professor Jung Bok-Sang established The Korea Society of Craft in 1998 and has successively filled various posts, such as: the first president of the association, the president of the Korean Ottchil Arts Council, and the examiner of collecting works for the National Museum of Modern Art.
He performs as a Cultural Heritage Research Fellow in the Cultural Heritage Administration, an examiner of Artworks in Daegu, and is a member of the Gyeongsangbukdo Cultural Properties Committee of 2013.
Additionally, he has participated in several art fairs, exhibitions, and biennial art shows as the feature artist, and been seated on the panel of judges or been an operation committee member.
