KIU undergraduate students from the department of architecture won the grand prize at the National Idea Competition for university students. The 2013 National University Students Academic Publication Contest was held on the Dankook University Campus on November 8th. The Team Building Innovator from the KIU department of architecture won the overall first prize for the ��쁀rchitectural Idea Competition Contest��� with an idea they called ��쁀typical Panel Designing and Building Interface Innovation Direction���.
The ��쁀rchitectural Idea Competition Contest��� is an annual event hosted by the Korean Institute of Construction Engineering and Management, and its purpose it to discover talented individuals and ideas through the evaluation of expects in each section.
At the contest, many undergraduate students participated in the event with various subjects that related to architecture (idea, new technology/new construction method, green energy city, architectural IT, new (renewable) energy, maintenance, eco-friendly energy) and showed their ideas and capabilities.
The best venture foundation club appointed by Gyeonsangbub-do, was the KIU Department of Architecture Building Innovator Team, and members Yoon Seung-Whee (a senior) and Kim Ae-Jin (a junior) commented, "It was a much more meaningful moment to have the opportunity to compete with students from other top universities and showcase KIU��셲 reserved strength more than anything else���. Guiding Professor Uhm Shin-Jo of the Department of Architecture add, ��쏧 guess field centered creativity developmental education system and field application was the main reason for achieving such a great result���. |
