Kyungil University's Department of Photography and Motion Picture is the topic of the town these days because of their awards from local contests. A total of 13 teams consisting of more than 30 KIU students participated in the 11th Annual 2013 ���Maeil Newspaper Advertisement Award��� in October.

'The Maeil Newspaper Advertisement Award' is an advertisement contest that has been convened to contribute to the advertisement industry since 2003, and this time, there were over 413 pieces of work submitted and judged by the dean of the Keimyoung University School of Arts, Park Gun-Bae, and the head of the Maeil Newspaper Innotion, Oh Yoo-Kyung, as well as other experts.

Among many fresh and pleasant ideas, 3 pieces of work out of 13 from KIU's Department of Photography and Motion Picture (CF Plan and Manufacture)class won the silver prize and a prize of excellence. The 'Humming Bird' team received a silver prize for 'Asiana Airlines paper advertisement – On Board a Gallery, On Board a Theater'.

Also, team '2470' and team 'CARRY' received prizes of excellence for 'VIPS paper advertisement – Meet the World at VIPS' and 'Asiana Airlines paper advertisement - Asiana Eco flight'. In addition, Park Yim-Hwan and 4 other students won a prize in the ���3rd Annual University Students Motion Picture Contest��� hosted by TBC since 2011 for 'Diet Fairy'.

The award winning students said, "We really are happy to have this award because we put our best into it. We will make sure that we can be great experts in advertisement based on this experience."
