KIU held its ‘Pride-KIU 2014 Freshman Fun Camp’ for 2 days and 1night from the 16th of February.
A variety of programs including a special guest lecture, an introduction to college life, group performances, and a talent show were given to about 1,000 freshman students who registered to attend the camp for 2 days and 1 night in KIU’s dormitory, auditorium, gymnasium, and classrooms.
Special lecturer, Park Yong Hoo who developed Kakao Talk hit the spot in introducing 5 keywords about life. Each team director from scholarship assigning, academic affairs, student affairs, job-search assistance, and business start-up explained how freshman can become accustomed to college life.
Starting with group performances, DIMF musical gala show, guest singer performance, and the talent show livened up the mood in the gymnasium after dinner in the students’ cafeteria,
Nahm, Wan Suk (a Fire and Disaster Protection Major) said, “It’s a very valuable time to experience the college I will attend.” “The dormitory I stayed at was clean and pleasant and meeting professors and seniors in advance was excellent as well.” |
