Newly graduated nursing students of KIU this year passed the national examination for being a nurse. Also, they got employed in superior medical institutions such as big general hospitals.

KIU announced that all the nursing major students passed the 54th national nursing examination. Almost all students are employed in Yonsei University General Hospital, National Cancer Center, Ewha Women’s University General Hospital in Mok-dong, Samsung Medical Center, Yeungnam University General Hospital as well as Seoul National University General Hospital which are all big medical institutions.

KIU established its ‘Department of Nursing’ in 2010 after being approved by the Ministry of Education. Meanwhile, KIU made a University-Industry Cooperation agreement with University General Hospitals in the Daegu area as well as University General Hospitals such as the Korea University General Hospital, and Ewha Women’s University General Hospital in the Seoul area.

KIU provided free TOEIC classes, opportunities to go abroad to study English and learn foreign cultures for fostering students to become global talents, and also volunteer club activities to develop their minds to serve their patients.

KIU installed the simulation center on campus for nursing students so they could practice real situations that they may face in the field and this led them to develop their active problem solving ability.

Bae, Min Suk who got employed at Yonsei University General Hospital said, “KIU supported us so much so we could pass the exam and achieve great success to get a good job at the same time.” “As a newly graduated student of the department of nursing in KIU, I would like to give thanks to our school and professors and also I am very happy to show excellent examples and outputs for our juniors.”

Sohn, Shin Young, the head of the nursing department, said, ”We were able to achieve this success because of KIU’s spectacular support, our professors’ excellent teamwork, and the passion of our students put altogether.” “They will be a real Nightingale who can care for patients with great sincerity.”
