KIU will send 7 students to its sister university in China, Japan, and Taiwan to strengthen its international competitiveness through fostering global talent.

Eun Ju Ahn (Sophomore, International Economics and Trade) will go to Harbin University of Technology, Eun Jin Ryu (Junior, International Economics and Trade), Su Jeong Jo (Senior, Foreign Language) and Jin Seo Jo will go to WenShou University in China, while Min Young Kim (Senior, Beauty) will study in Jilin University in China, and Seon Yong Park (Junior, Sports) will go to Shikoku Gakuin University in Japan, and Myeong Kyu Kim will study in Huafan University in Taiwan.

Before departing to each country, the executive director of International Affairs and Programs, Soo Seok Sohn told students that they should thoroughly prepare enough to understand more about the country they will go and have a wide and new vision through a variety of activities abroad on the 4th of February , Tuesday.

Specially Myeong Kyu Kim who is majoring in Industrial Design will go to Huafan University in Taiwan as the first exchange student which reached an agreement with our university on international academic exchange. He has received a sister university scholarship from KIU and will study for a year in the department of Industrial Design in Huafan University which is the only university having and running transportation design majors in Taiwan.

Students said, “They would take this opportunity to foster their capabilities through various experiences.”
