KIU nursing students held a campaign from April 1st to 8th targeting middle school and high school students while taking the first steps as a life lover keeper. This campaign which was promoted by the Kyungsan city health center to improve recognition, alleviate bias and raise interest on mental health while providing useful information about depression and suicide.
The KIU nursing department resolved to work as a gatekeeper to lead the culture that respects life on the 11th of September, 2013 while holding an opening ceremony last year and they started work from this semester under professor Yoo, So Yeon’s supervision.
About 115 KIU nursing students attended the 42nd health day ceremony and the 45th mental health day ceremony and had a priceless time together which were hosted by Kyungsang buk-do on the 7th of April. Yoo, So-Yeon, who was appointed as an advisor professor said, “I hope our KIU nursing students become a life lover keeper who respect life and alleviate the bias about mental problems while having interests in the promotion of mental health” |
