A junior, nursing major student, Cho Min-Jung will have a liver transplant for her mother, who has no hope of being cured from liver cancer, but will receive a liver transplant on the 25th in Daegu Catholic University Hospital. Her mother was diagnosed with liver cancer and has been treated for three months. The medical team advised her to have a liver transplant, but she couldn���t tell that to her family. When Cho Min-Jung and her brother discovered this, they decided to have a liver transplant and went through an examination. Finally, she was the one who was found to be a donor match for her mother since her brother was proved to be hepatitis B positive.

She said, ���My mother was desperately opposed. So I persuaded her persistently.��� Also, ���I am ashamed of being encouraged and complimented because it is a certain duty to do it as her daughter.���

When her situation became known on campus, students and the school held out a helping hand to her. The KIU student council will have a blood drive from the 24th for one week on campus and will donate those certificates of blood donation to her. Also the school will give her a special scholarship which is a total exemption for the fall semester tuition and the nursing department will let her do her nursing practice at hospitals during winter vacation due to her hospitalization.

Cho Min-Jung said, ���Professors are patting me on the back and the school, student union, and friends are helping me so I thanks to them all.���, and ���I will pay back as I come back to school as healthy as I am with my mother.���

The Dean of Student Affairs, Jung Jae-Won said, ���She would be very afraid even though she said it was the right thing to do.���, and ���Don���t forget that every member of our school is behind you and hopes you get back healthy soon.���
