KIU presented honorary scholarship certificates and gifts to senior, police major student, Han Hee-Kyung, junior, international trade student, Han Chae-Ho, junior, psychotherapy student, Kang Jin-A, and junior, psychotherapy student, Shin Chan-Yang. These four students donated their scholarships to their friends who are not well off financially.
Since 2012, KIU has adopted an ‘Honorary Scholarship System’. If students donate their scholarships to other students, the school will honor them with an honorary scholarship certificate with zero won written on it. Since then, three students have received it and this time, four students became the honorary scholarship students and about five million won will be used for the students who are having difficulty with their family circumstances.
Han Hee-Kyung said, “I have received an excellent record scholarship since I entered the university, I decided to yield this to friends who could be helped with this scholarship.” She added, “Taking this opportunity, I hope this generous mindset spread on campus.”
The person concerned said, “We take care of students who have economic difficulty through the office of admissions, also this honorary scholarship system which donates scholarships, warms our campus and will be a great help to our students.” |
