The Department of Geo-informatics Engineering held a Joint Workshop between KIU and Hong Kong Polytechnic University on the 21st of May.

28 students and two professors from the department of Land Surveying and Geo-informatics from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University visited according to the MOU signed between the two institutions last year. The professors and students from each university actively participated in presenting and discussing major related issues over their nationalities and generations.

The field of Geo-informatics deals with all human-social and scientific-technical information which happens by human and natural activities, and the technique related to Geo-informatics is widely used in the area of remote sensing, GPS global positioning system, radar looking, and smart application development.
