The G.O.P. Group from the KIU nursing department campaigned about the risk of gambling on the 26th and 27th of May in front of the student union building on campus.

The G.O.P. was selected as the 1st grade 2014 College Students’ Gambling Problems Prevention Activity Group by the Korean Center of Problem Gambling this April. The G.O.P. was made to inform students of gambling problems and spread a sound and leisurely culture.

The G.O.P. members installed a booth outside for two days and they put a board test tool on the ground and led students to test their conditions by themselves. Also through ‘Making Hope Tree’, they asked our students to participate in this campaign more actively. While introducing their club, they explained the definition of gambling and much more information about it.

Jung Woo-Hyun, who is the chief of the G.O.P and a sophomore nursing major student, said “Over 300 students participated in the first day and many students were very interested in this campaign so I was very proud of myself as well as our students group. I’ll try my best to decrease gambling problems and spread a sound and leisurely culture.”
