‘Gate Keeper’ students were invited to the ‘2014 Suicide Prevention Day Ceremony’ hosted by Kyungsan city and the Kyungsan mental health care center and represented what they have done as representatives.
KIUs ‘Gate Keepers’ from the nursing department have resolved to work as gatekeepers to lead culture that respects life since September of last year and have worked on and out of the campus very actively. Students are not only involved in campus campaigns and periodic subway campaigns, but also have been visiting institutions and hosting education programs. Kyungsan city marked KIU’s ‘Gate Keeper’ club down as an exemplary life lover keeper that has achieved notable achievements out of ‘Hope Kyungsan Health Partner’ volunteer groups and also counts on them to reduce the rate of suicide and make Kyungsan city a better place to live.
The ‘Gate Keeper’ club was selected as a representative out of ‘Hope Kyungsan Health Partner’ volunteer groups while they were attending the 2014 suicide prevention day ceremony which was convened to celebrate the period of life respect, from September 10th to 20th and the day of suicide prevention. Chang, So Yoon, a sophomore nursing major, said, “It was very precious to able to spread to people the valuable activities we do and I will try to contribute to the community to reduce the suicide rate and the respect for life from now on.”
The KIU’s ‘Gate Keeper’ will participate in the ‘From the sunset to the dawn, 2014 Life Love Walk’ campaign and will have a related campaign during the KIU festival period aggressively. |
