KIU was ranked 8th out of all universities across the country in the field of employment rate at 68.8 percent, after being evaluated by Joong-Ang Daily Newspaper in the 2014 University Evaluation.
According to the Joong-Ang Daily Newspaper's October 8th edition, KIU received 8th place with a 68.8% rate of genuine employment. This rate exclude the arts and the sports departments, and only includes graduate students from August of last year to February of this year.
Besides the genuine employment rate, KIU recorded an over 65% employment rate for 2 years based on an employment rate of the University Information Disclosure System and the maintaining employment rate also cut a conspicuous figure so it gets a high rating in both ‘quality’ and ‘satisfaction’. This is because a variety of job support programs received a high result.
The '2014 KIU Recruit Interview Roadshow' is among those representative programs that customized for the companies which need to recruit. This event, which is held in the Inter-Bulgo Hotel on the 15th of October is different from other job fairs. Those companies which need to recruit new employees participate in this event and interview students who were already filtered for the interview. KIU also picked an easily accessible for the companies' convenience. Thus, no other unnecessary events are being held on the afternoon of the interview for the companies' convenience in order to maximize efficiency.
About 300 students were trained at the job camp and learned several job skills to use in a real job interview and prepared applications for real interviews and submitted their applications in advance. Based on those applications they submitted in advance, students had interviews taking a look around the 60 booths that participated in this roadshow. |
