We are receiving applications for the Korean American Friendship Circle, so we encourage many KIU students who are interested in this program to apply for it. The Korean American Friendship Circle is a friendship program between Korean college students and families of the U.S. Forces in Korea. Its purpose is to promote the friendship between Korean and the U.S. by attending many events in the army camp and by visiting attractions in Korea.

1. Selection:

��� First stage: Documents screening, a writing test, and an interview at Kyungil University

��� Second stage: an interview by officers from the U.S. army camp

2. Activities:

��� will be decided by the participants for a semester.

3. Eligibility

��� The applicants should be the KIU students who:

   - are active and outgoing

   - are interested in sharing the Korean cultural to foreigners

   - are committed to a team work as a sincere KIU representative

   - are passionate in learning English with a basic communication skill

   - are not able to afford to study abroad

   - are those who have 500 or more of TOEIC (including the TOEIC demo test at KIU)

4. Required documents: an application form, a self-introduction essay, a certificate of the TOEIC test

5. First stage screening at KIU: Nov. 13th, 2011

6. First stage screening and orientation: Nov. 25th, 2011, at Kyungpook University
