When Japan's Fukushima reactor explosion occurred, people all around the world as well as in Japan were flustered that they didn't know how to deal with the reactor fire.
After this, most countries actively tried to develop measure technologies to cope with complex disasters like explosion or terrorism.
Korea is also publicly competing "Special Disaster Site Emergency Measure Technology Development Business" which needs to allocate a national R&D budget of 29 billion won for the next 5 years.
Kyungil University joined an organization and professor So Soo Hyun(45, school of fire&disaster Prevention) assumed the head of that organization.

For this reason, Kyungil University will make a business agreement with the National Emergency Management Agency and get into specific procedures to make up a business soon.
" Special Disaster Site Emergency Measure Technology Development Business" in which 29 billion won budget in total will be invested in 4 support fields( fire extinguisher equipment, on-site management with technology, on-site safety activity, on-site rescue aid) and it will take responsibility in organizing, contesting, evaluating, and selecting the related project.
Professor So said, " This business will be the first step to upgrade fire technology and through successful performance, we will strive to demonstrate the superiority and expand the national R&D budget volume in fire field.
