The KIU Department of Applied Robotics was the only department selected by the Industry-Education Foundation from among local private university departments as an I-ACE business.
This business was the first introduced, and only 6 departments from 5 universities in the whole country were selected.
KIU's industry-university program, the 'Brain Track Program' will be supported by a 52-million-won endowment over the next 4 years.
The Brain Track Program, based on the

ABEEK program since 2008, provides a specialized industry-university cooperative curriculum to maximize graduates' field adaptability. Professor Lee Se Jin(Dean of the Applied Robotics Department) said, " It's evident that there are realistic differences between what local industries need for employment and what graduates can do. The purpose of this program is to turn out competent graduates who combine major skills with adaptabilities in the field through an organized industry-university cooperative curriculum and continuous improvement.
