domestic brands of fruits with designers’ creative ideas. The event was held from the 12th to 16th of December and about 30 students majoring in Industrial Design at KIU took part in the exhibition.
They exhibited 24 handcrafts including the “Cookie-Coffee” and the “Moisturized Flowerpot”, both of which received high praise and good press from the festival. Besides the two aforementioned products, the “Christmas Tree” also received high praise and has already received 5 orders from visitors even with its high price.
The students were attempting to express their creativity through experimental ideas, and the festival allowed participating designers to successfully promote themselves and expand their territories. The design festival also aims to improve life and free spirit by showing the value of materials.
Industrial Design student Go Hye Jin said, “I was really flattered that I could compete with the professional designers. And I could feel a bit more confident because of this opportunity.” |
