The KIU nursing department has once again proved their excellence on the national nursing examination. For the third consecutive year, KIU students have achieved a 100% employment rate with many of the graduates-to-be getting employed in superior medical institutions such as big general hospitals.
65 graduate-to-be students passed the 56th national nursing examination on the 22nd of January and created a record by having all students pass the test for the third consecutive year since 2014. Also, most of graduate-to-be students are employed in superior medical institutions such as Korea university hospitals, Yonsei Severance Hospital, Kyungpook University Hospital and so forth.
KIU established its ‘Department of Nursing’ in 2010. KIU made a university-industry cooperation agreement with university general hospitals in the Daegu area as well as university general hospitals in the Seoul area.
KIU provided practicum in medical institutions such as general hospitals and opportunities to study abroad in Perdue University in the United States.. KIU also provided free TOEIC classes, opportunities to go abroad to study English and learn foreign cultures for fostering students to become global talents, and also volunteer club activities to develop their minds to serve their patients.
KIU installed the simulation center on campus for nursing students so they could practice real situations that they may face in the field and this led them to develop their active problem solving abilities.
