To become a Strong Helper in the Medical Service Robotics Industry
Kyungil University (President Chung Hyun-tae) participated in the ‘2016 Robot Convergence Supporting Business’ and has planned to operate the program for founders , who need customized support services in the field of medical service robotics industry, with the Korea Institute of Robots and Convergence (KIRC, Chairman Park Chul-hyu) as the managing department.
Through this business, the KIRC is scheduled to secure one billion won worth of support from the government and province over the next 3 years. It will also operate a support center in charge of the Gyeongbuk medical service robot convergence to construct a regional innovation pole for the robotics industry in the Gyeongbuk area.
In the pursuit of this purpose, KIU, with a lot of capability for start-up support, is implementing two strategies. The first one is focusing on customized services for enterprises with the Daegu Gyeongbuk Technology Holding Inc., which has the capabilityto nurture companies. The other is to build up a win-win system for the medical service robotics industry through industry-academic related organization network.
President Chung announced, “This business is sure to create a growth engine of robot industry specialized in the Gyeongbuk area by turning itself as a success case for robot convergence business.” He also added, “KIU, as a distinguished leading start-up university located in the Gyeongbuk area, will become a strong supporter for start-up wishers in the medical service robotics industry.” |
