During a lecture on the theme of creating ‘a successful life with vision and patience’; it was stated that we have to develop problem solving skills though selection and concentration.


KIU (President Jung Hyun-tae) invited Seo Jong-dae, CEO of the Korea Appraisal Board, and held a special lecture on the topic of ‘a successful life with vision and patience’ at the seminar room in the Humanities and Social Science College building on April 28th(Thursday).

This special lecture was conducted in a question and answer format, and focused on the question of “What will you do?” which is the most fundamental concern of college students, held in serious heat due to participants filling up the room.

During the special lecture, the CEO Seo asked the students to “set up goals and visions in life for social success and to develop problem-solving skills through selection and concentration”.

After the special lecture, he also gave an introduction of the Korea Appraisal Board and explained a plan for hiring new employees in 2016 for job applicants. He had time to advise them on successful strategies in preparing them for recruitment.

Particularly, last March, the Korea Appraisal Board announced that it was planning to include more than 30% of its hires from talented individuals from the Daegu and Kyungbuk areas. It received attention from local jobseekers by taking columns which are irrelevant to job performance, and away from job application forms, through public employment based on NCS.

Meanwhile, the Korea Appraisal Board and KIU made a business agreement at the beginning of March this year and they were supposed to cooperate in collaborative development for both institutions. This was to be achieved by creating an industrial-educational cooperation through education and cultivation for talented individuals, hosting academic events and personal exchanges, and engaging in joint participation in development and research tasks.
