The awards on the preliminaries of venture league over Korea in 2016. The representative from Kyungil University won the grand prize in 2015.
The awards on the preliminaries for K-start up Korea of Venture League in 2016 was held in the R&DB center in Kyungil University on Wed. May 11th.Itwassupervisedbytheventuresupportingdepartment(president;Hyung-Gu,Kang)andsupportedbytheKoreanInstituteofStartup&EntrepreneurshipDevelopment.
The competition was divided into two sections, one for university and another for high-school students, to expand the interest and base of a startup. There was a great deal of interest in this competition as 128 teams participated in it and the total amount of prizes was about 15 miliion won.
For the university section, Heo Yeong-Cheol (50), won the grand prize (5 million won) with a moving safety system and Cheong Jun-Yeong (52), got the top first prize (2 million won) with protecting untie-bolts and nuts involving magnetics. They also received tickets to the finals for the K-start up Korea in 2016.
For the high-school section, Kwak Hye-Yeon from Daegu Jeil Girls’ Commercial High School, got the top first prize and 1 million won. The victors of excellence awards were Kim Cheong-Bin (19), from Dongsan High School. and Noh Da-Som (18), from Sangsuh High School.
Kyungil University has performed as the hub and run various programs such as the class for practicing ventures, supporting venture groups, venture shows and venture item competitions since it was nominated as the only leading venture university.
Last November, Choi Jun-Hyuk, the Kyungil University representative, received the grand prize (100 million won) from the Grandprix final of Korea venture league 2015, the biggest venture competition.
There is the biggest-volume-supporting center for foundation in Kyungil University, and it has been nominated as the best supporting center for startups for 12 years. Also, it has been ranked first in the Jungang newspaper college evaluation for employment rates for its graduates. |
