KIU had a ceremony to present outstanding startup businesses with their signboards and made an agreement for a college development fund in the R&D center last June 1st. As a part of the ‘Gyeongbuk Relay Compliment for a Promising Young Businessman’ project sponsored by Gyeongbuk province, this project selected the company that has best boostered sales figures, increased employment and acquired intellectual property rights after starting their own business. As a reward, those companies received signboards because they set a good example.
KIU gave awards to two companies; Cat friends (President, Lee Min Sung) and Usmile (President Yoo Jung Ho). These companies will surely be a strong motivation for those who want to start up new businesses as young business-people.
Also, Kim’s Living (President, Kim Nam Joo), located in the support foundation center in KIU, donated to the college development fund that day as well. President Kim started her business in 2013, focusing on ‘A Smart Sterilizer at Home’. Kim’s Living has successfully launched the business with the help of the KIU Startup Project and received funds from the trust guarantee in 2015.
Park Hee Ju, a vice president from the department of business administration, stated “I hope these two companies will be good role models for the other 50 companies in the support foundation center in KIU and I pray for the development of their businesses. |
