Han Byung-chul, a Representative of Biz Map Inc., Generous Contribution to the Development Fund, Contributed to KIU’s Holding the Nation’s Highest University in the Field of Startups
Kyungil University (President Chung Hyun-Tae) had a meaningful donation ceremony held at the President’s office on Wednesday, June 8th. Han Byung-Chul, a representative of Biz Map Inc., delivered endowments worth 5 million won for KIU’s development to President Chung. Han Byung-Chul’s donation are a symbol of his spirit and good will, and he hopes that his contribution can be used to educate KIU students’ startup and to cultivate their entrepreneurial spirit.
Han Byung-chul, the representative, has actively participated in various fields as an expert member of the startup program of the KIU Startup Assistant Team since 2011. Biz Map Inc. is one of the professional educational institutions and his contributions have already offered so much actual help. His mentoring has reached various areas, such as startup camps, evaluation of idea competitive exhibitions, mentoring foundation clubs, providing mentoring for firms in the support center for foundation and pre entrepreneurs in pursuit of developing business as a startup leading university.
Particularly, Representative Han has created business bases for university students’ carrying forward excavating and commercialization their ideas through university students’ startup camps. He has also mentored students and has contributed to making KIU become recognized as the nation’s No. 1 university in the field of startup in various ways.
Representative Han said, “It was worthwhile having a special bond with KIU students for the last 5 years. The times were so rewarding and glorious. In addition, the progress where students distinguished themselves in all sorts of startup competitive exhibitions could naturally carry over into the next step toward real startups. All the effort together with students could function as momentum where companies, universities, and students were able to experience mutual growth of one another.” After much consideration of how to keep these precious relationship with KIU students for a long time, Han decided to donate to the development fund.
President Chung spoke his mind, “KIU will try to concentrate on the vitalization of entrepreneurship education to overcome the problems of youth unemployment by being grateful to Representative Han’s best wishes and his contributions he has made so that KIU could stand on the status of being truly the most powerful mecca in entrepreneurship education.” |
