KIU(president Jung Hyun Tae) and Stiki Malang University made a business agreement in the main conference room at KIU on August 23rd.

Both universities came to an agreement to make an effort together in order to foster  globally talented individuals through joint research, student exchanges, and exchanges of academic materials and books.

Jung Hyun Tae, president of KIU, said “this is the right time to expand the student exchange program with Indonesia because the Indonesian government encourages Korean language education through the adoption of the Korean language as the subject for the second language education at high school” and “Stiki Malang University and KIU will serve as a stepping stone for exchange between the two countries and do its best to disseminate and spread the Korean language.”

Eva Handriyantini, president of Stiki Malang University, said “this is my second visit to Korea and I am surprised at the development phase in Korea every time” and “I will aggressively try to make the Indonesian students learn the advanced industries and technologies through studying in Korea.”

Prior to this, KIU made a business agreement for Korean language education with the Indonesian ministry of education and culture. At the beginning of the next year, the scholarship students sent by the Indonesian government are going to enter KIU through the supporting business for Korean language education.
