KIU ranked sixth based on ‘a university with high female students employment rate’ in the university assessment from Joongang ilbo, one of Korea’s biggest newspapers, in 2016.

KIU(president, Jung Hyun Tae) was in sixth place for female students’ employment rate and placed seventh in participation for sexual harassment education respectively, according to Joongangilbo’s university assessment released on October19th.

KIU ranked 6 alongside Seoul National University in the female students’ employment rate section, which proved to have optimized career programs for excellent female students by offering job hunting support, competence improvementandfield placements.

‘A female-friendly university’ assessment was the first field that Joonang ilbo conducted among yearly university assessments nationwide. Except for women’s universities, the results were based on several categories such as: the rate of female faculty, employment rates, and school regulations for female students.

The reason why this section was added was to discover a university that tries to achieve gender equality and foster the quality of female students’ career path so that it can help them to choose universities.

Additionally, KIU has been also recognized in several areas, for example: high employment rate ( 8th) in 2014, a number of startup students(1st) in 2015 according to Joonang ilbo.
