Kyungil University President (Chung, Hyun-Tae) announced on May 17th that it was finally chosen for the fostering project of Leaders in Industry-university Cooperation(LINC+) hosted by the Ministry of Education and Human Resources Development.

As a result, KIU was selected as the "Best Supporting University" for over the past two years. In addition to this, taking LINC+ project, KIU has kept its reputation as being the best LINC university again.

KIU tried to establish a cooperating system between industries, universities, students and faculty members. It has fostered the ability for industrial education by making ‘collaborative cooperation system’, and sharing field practices like technology transfer, equipment use, research studies between the companies, students, and colleges and colleges. In addition, KIU established the Capstone Design Curriculum for the first time and the entirety of university departments recognize the importance of industry cooperating education, and has kept activating among students, and continued to activate industrial and technological exchanges with various programs.

KIU LINC+ aims to foster the local talents with industries. KIU plans to establish a KIUM center and run the certificating programs that integrate and control the career for developing students’ abilities. Certificating programs for industrial education are a hierarchical competence development system that make students ' cooperative mind through the first semester program, and integrates with all careers, which are produced by the Industrial-Academic Cooperation Group President, to provide the final certification.

The Center for Human Resource Development will play an important role in fostering the local talents by developing, nurturing, and matching talented students based on data accumulated online or off-line.

The president of KIU(Chung, Hyun-Tae) said, " Winning the LINC+ projects is the result of fostering industrial education since KIU opened in 1963. KIU will perform the collaborative industrial education with local society as a leading university and contribute to the national economic development.
