Kyungil University (President Chung Hyun-tae) established the "KIU Self-Career Design Department" which was innovatively designed with the goal of emanating the best talent in the university. The launching ceremony of the KIU Self Career Design Department was held on the afternoon of September 3rd.

The KIU Self-Career Design Department is a faculty in which the students interact with a mentor professor at all times and design their own courses and curricula to achieve their goals. For the undergraduates who are selected through rigorous screening, the Self-Career Design Department provides full tuition, free dormitories, various curriculum and extracurricular courses, support for on-campus programs, and the placement of mentor professors.

Through the document screening and interviews, Kyungil University selected the freshmen, sophomore, and juniors who wanted to design their own innovative curriculum, go beyond the general course of the department and pursue their own specific goals, and submitted a portfolio of self-career design.

For the second half of this year, students who have been selected will be assigned to the Self-Career Design Department while also maintaining their position in the departments already assigned to them.

In a congratulatory speech, president Chung Hyun-tae said, ‘Today is the day in which our university leaps back. For the students selected for the first time, we will give them generous support so that they can achieve their goals with a sense of pride and duty’.
