Professor Kim Yong-Dae (photo, 39 years old) in the School of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering at Kyungil University (President Hyun Tae Chun), won the outstanding paper award at the Conference of Aerospace Systems Engineering.
Professor Kim presented a paper entitled “Fabrication of Ni-Co (Ni-Co) Thin Films for High Temperature Sensors and Actuators and Estimation of Mechanical Properties” at the conference.
This study presents a new manufacturing process of ‘Ni-Co (nickel-cobalt) thin film’ which can be used as a substrate for flexible devices at high temperatures. According to the new manufacturing process shown in the study, it is possible to produce a flexible thin film with a thickness of tens of micrometers (㎛).
The developed flexible thin film can be applied to flexible displays, high temperature sensors for aerospace, biomedical sensors, automotive sensors and actuators.
