‘2019 KIUM Camp for freshman’ which is the orientation for the freshmen of KIU was held for three days.

The KIUM Camp of this year was held around the campus, and about 2,000 people including this year’s freshmen, mentor students, academic advisors, safety guards, participated in the camp.

2019 KUIM Camp went off well under the leadership of each college with some meaty programs which consist of English aptitude tests, prevention education programs for sexual harassment, design of college life, NEO personality tests, getting a taste of enrolling in classes, writing cover letters, and so on to help freshmen to enjoy successful college life. 

Because freshmen are likely to become bored, in the evening of the first and second day, all participants gathered at gymnasium, gave off their talent and passion while watching together the performances of Paul Kim and Hong, Jinyoung, the demonstration of cheering squad of Samsung Lions, and the talent shows. Kim, Minsoo, a freshman of department of mechanical automotive engineering, said “This camp was helpful to prepare college life while studying hard in the daytime and enjoying various events passionately for three days.” 

February 27th, on the third day, the freshmen who finished official schedule, had lunch, and came home by school bus, so ‘2019 KIUM Camp’ ended successfully.  The freshmen who completed this camp will earn one credit for ‘Freshman Life’ which is a required course.
