Ms. Kim, Eun-Hye, a student at the School of Mechanical & Automotive Engineering, was honored with the grand prize in recognition of her effort to promote the youth employment policy.

Kyungil University (President Jung, Hyun-Tae) won the grand prize for the second year in a row at the ‘2019 Regional Youth Idea Challenge’, where local college students competed together.

The ‘Idea Challenge’ was co-hosted by the Daegu Provincial Employment and Labor Agency and the Gyeongbuk Province Economic Promotion Agency, and 240 teams (542 college students) from 5 local universities, including Kyungil University, Yeungnam University, Daegu University, Daegu Catholic University, and Daegu Hanny University, had fierce competitions, fighting the war of idea, as they went through the preliminaries and finals over three areas of topics.

Ms. Kim Eun-Hye, a senior at the School of Mechanical & Automotive Engineering, divided the age group of youth employment policy promotion into 20s, 30s, and 40s in the First Area's “Promotion Plans for Regional Youth Participation in Youth Employment Policy”, and proposed customized promotion measures for each age group, and honorably won the grand prize (Daegu Provincial Employment and Labor Administration Award).

Kyungil University was the only participating university that had won the award for the second year in a row, with the ‘Energy’ team receiving the grand prize at last year’s competition in the Second Area by analyzing the business administration on campus and announcing the management proposal.

In the presentation evaluation, Ms. Kim categorized the applications favored by young people according to the age group, analyzed their strengths and weaknesses, and then suggested a customized promotional plan in accordance with each application characteristic. She also made a big appeal by suggesting that difficult employment policy terms such as "Youth job-seeking support" and "Job-finding success package" be easily replaced with "Show me the employment money" and "Job-hunting, I don’t care!" In addition, she introduced measures to bridge the gap between the government and corporate positions and the youth's position in order to make it easier to understand the issues in youth employment policies, and she also suggested plans to narrow the gap between those positions such as invigoration of supporters, Gifticones and review events.

Mr. Hong, Chang-Ki, Director of the Center for Job Research at Kyungil University, said, "This competition has increased the understanding of the job policies of local youth, and by incorporating young people's ideas into the youth employment policy, it would have been an opportunity for youth employment to be activated.“
