Kyungil University (President Hyuntae Jung) is the first among local universities to introduce 'Artificial Intelligence AI and Virtual Reality (VR) Interview Education System' to strengthen students' employment capabilities.

This is to prepare in advance as major domestic companies introduce big data-based AI interview system, and experience hiring interviews by meeting an interviewer of a company in virtual reality.

With the introduction of the system, students at KIU can access the AI interview education system and have a simulated interview, using ID given by the university job center regardless of time and place.

The AI interviewer analyze the interviewee's answers, facial expression changes, voice tone, and emotional vocabulary through the PC camera. In addition, the interviewee can increase the ability to cope with the key questions and emergencies of the job-seeking company through the questions of big data-based AI, and repeatedly train the vulnerable part by listening to the interview recording file.

The two VR interview systems introduced together with the AI interview education system are installed at the university job center and can be used by students at any time. After wearinga VR device, the user selects a company, inputs histories, and then conducts an interview with the interviewer in virtual reality. The user can repeat and self-learn by receiving feedback on the results.

"The AI interview system can provide customized training for AI interviews conducted by companies, regardless of place. And the VR interview system makes the same environment as the one at the real interview. It provides the reduction of anxiety in the actual job interview," said Wonil Jung, a senior student in the Department of Renewable Energy at Kyungil University, who has used the system.

"As domestic companies including major companies are competitively using AI interviews, we have introduced the AI and VR interview education system for the first time in the region to prepare for this trend," said Changgi Hong, head od the university job center. He explained, "the students can use it freely without restrictions of time and place, which will help improve interview skills and increase their confidenc."
