It helps prepare for the new semester of the non-face-to-face method due to the influence of Corona19.

Kyungil University (President Chung Hyun-tae) opened its online preparatory university website "2020 KIU Shin In-jae KIUM-RACE" to help freshmen prepare for the new semester on 11th.

The online preparatory college is designed to prevent learning blanks by providing information on college life to freshmen as Corona 19 canceled freshman orientation and the two-week academic schedule was replaced by online classes even after the opening of the school.

Online preparatory university has uploaded video clips of welcoming speeches by President Chung Hyun-tae, campus guidance, KIUM-RACE, welcoming speeches and introduction of departments. In addition, ‘KIU Tips’ corner is designed to clearly guide the things freshmen need to know by interlinking announcements and extracurricular integrated management system.

Chung Hyun-tae, president of the university, said in a welcoming video, "It's a pity that I couldn't meet new students in person and greeted them through video, but I hope you understand that the students' health and safe campus are the top priority. Once Corona 19 is over, we will spare no support to continue a rewarding college life on the beautiful campus.“

Through video, the deans of the departments also asked freshmen to meet in a healthy manner and prepare for two weeks of online classes. Furthermore, introductory materials on the entire departments are posted.

Online preparatory university also includes an introduction to "KIUM-RACE," a specialized education system for Kyungil University. "Kium Race" is an educational system that divides Kyungil University campus into R (Root) zone, A (Adventure) zone, C (Challenge) zone, and E (Extension) zone to support the growth of students in each stage, from the basics of college life to experience, challenges and capacity expansion.

It also explains how online extracurricular program operates. Considering the characteristics of each grade, it includes guidance on package-type learning contents, mandatory courses for freshmen, methods of applying for extracurricular integrated programs, and Student Happiness KIUM Mileage.

Yoon Ji-eun, a freshmen who entered the School of Photography and Motion Picture at Kyungil University, said, "I felt sorry for the cancellation of my freshman orientation, but welcoming me warmly online, I think it would be helpful to let me know the information I need for my college life," adding, "I want to feel the romance of college life on campus as soon as possible."
