On July 7, the baseball team of Kyungil University(president, Chung Hyun Tae) held a ceremony for the first competition after the team was created and declared to compete well with all their efforts in 2020 KUSF(Korea University Sport Federation).

About 100 people including president Chung Hyun Tae, faculty members, director Heo Kyu Ok, coach Kwon Young Ho, players, and parents attended the ceremony and cheered players up.

President Chung Hyun Tae put a muffler around each player's neck praying victory. Captain Choi Min Kyu presented a baseball bat in which all players wrote their autographs.

The baseball team of Kyungil University was established on August 27 last year with re-establishment of a soccer team. A newly appointed director is Heo Kyu Ok who is a original founding member of Samsung Lions and won the MVP in the All-Star Game. Players were chosen and trained. For the first time, the team competed in the 2020 KUSF.

President Chung Hyun Tae encouraged players and said "Although our team is composed of all freshmen, I hope all players participate in games or training passionately. I also hope all of you regard the process as important as well as the result as a player and a student."
