KIU (President Hyun Tae Chung) has been selected as a curriculum module for the society-customized project, supported by the Ministry of Education and Korea Foundation for those chosen for LINC+.
This project, which operates a co-curriculum based on recruitment agreements, selects some universities among fifty five operated by LINC + projects. The “beauty care master track” run by K-the Convergence Department of Beauty was selected and will receive a total of 300 million won over the next two years. For this project, universities and the industry jointly select students, designs and operate curriculum, and conduct on-the-job training for contractors. Students who complete the curriculum are linked to jobs offered by the contractors as soon as they graduate.
The “Beauty Care Master Track”at Kyungil University addresses the problems of mismatching workforce in the Daegu-Gyeongbuk Beauty Industry by operating a curriculum that reflects the results of the survey done by the beauty industry. KIU is planning to lead the implementation of supporting a beautiful and healthy city by fostering the beauty service industry.
Kim Hyun-woo, director of the LINC + project team, said, “through the module program for the customized curriculum, we expect that the personalized cultivation of the talented people that KIU LINK aims at will be accelerated”
