She was competeing in a college team who ranked third.
This competition was hosted by the Association of Water Ski and Wakeboards, which is a competition that reflects the overall score for selecting national representatives. It was meaningful to Park Mi-Seon, who wanted to become a national representative. Water skiing and wakeboarding are the events that set the ranking by summing the scores from three fields, slalom skiing with unicycle, trick skiing with various tricks, and jump skiing.
Currently, Park Mi-Seon is selected as a representative of Gyeongsangbuk-do for water skiing as water skiing is now the official sport in the '98th National Sports Festival' which will be held in Chungju, Chungbuk Province in October.
Park Mi-Seon, who entered the Kyungil University Sports Department in 2014, first saw water skiing at the Leisure Town of Daekyung in Kumho-eup, Gyeongbuk Province during class time as a freshman. The Kyungil University Sports Department and Daekyung Water Leisure Town have concluded mutual agreements and jointly run on-site classes and hands-on training. Park Mi-Seon, who enjoys water-skiing twice a week, decided to be a professional athlete thanks to Professor Kim Kyung-Oh’s advice
After that, she was practically living in the water ski resort and was led by coach Kim Dong-Eun, who was a national representative. Soon after training with him, she started to win prizes in amateur water skiing contests when she was in the second grade. Now, she has grown up to become a national player in this sport.
She said "I appreciated Professors Kim Kyung-Oh and Kim Dong-Eun, who have made my life full of water skiing, and I am thankful to my coash Kim Dong-Eun." I am now focusing on training to win the national championship, but someday I want to participate in the world championships. "
