Intel Korea Ltd. (CEO Stephen Brown) contributed 260 million won worth of educational equipment to Kyungil University's LINC+ project team (Director Kim, Hyun-Woo).
The donation ceremony took place on September 28th(Thursday), at the conference room of Kyungil University’s main hall. Intel Korea Ltd. presented 45 copies ($4,995 per copy) of digital circuit design software 'Quarts II' and 12 kits of digital circuit training hardware 'DE1-SoC board' ($249 per kit) to the Kyungil University LINC+ project team.
Mr. Lee, Kyu-Sun, director of Intel Korea Ltd., who attended the donation ceremony, said, "We hope that students at Kyungil University, widely known as a leading university for industry-academia cooperation, will study hard with Intel products and become global IT professionals representing Korea."
“We are grateful to Intel Korea Ltd.for willingly granting high-priced software and equipment to our team”, said Mr. Kim Hyun-Woo, director of the LINC+ project team at Kyungil University. He also said, “This donation will serve as a good example of bilateral industry-university cooperation between companies and universities, and also the educational equipment donated by Intel Korea Ltd. will be a great help in fostering core elites in the area of Kyungil University's 4th industrial revolution which includes the School of Electrical Engineering.”
