- Park, Hwa-Jin, the Gyeongbuk Police Chief, Gave a Special Lecture at Kyungil University on Thursday the 26th
- Introduced police work to more than 300 students and presented a future vision for police in Korea

 

The specialization project team, CVICE project team (Director, Professor Kim, Dong-Hyeok), had a special lecture with the head of Park Kyung-Jin, the Gyeongbuk Regional Police Chief, at the university library hall on the 26th, (Thursday).

This special lecture was held for about two hours with the title of "Police Officer Park’ FUN story ", which introduced police work, the virtues that police officers should have, and the future vision for police in Korea. More than 300 students from the Department of Police Administration and the Department of Psychological Therapy were invited to this lecture.

Park Hwa-Jin, the Gyeongbuk Police Chief, began lecturing with an introduction to the activities of incumbent police officers from Kyungil University, saying, "Due to the nature of the police work that protects the socially underprivileged, police officers who do not have a sense of duty are unfortunate for both individuals and their countries." Park also emphasized that "moderation and commitment should be the top priority of police officers."

He added, "up until now, information and security have been important. However, there will become a time when the demand for protection and treatment of victims, scientific investigation, and cyber investigations increase. So students should prepare for them.”

Park’s lecture was full of laughter in a bright atmosphere and his lecture went were well beyond the scheduled time because he responded to students’ questions one by one

Meanwhile, just before the special lecture, Chairman Chung Hyun-Tae and Chief Park Hwa-Jin gave a plaque of appreciation to each other at Kyungil University.

It was a commemorative event for Park Hwa-Jin, who contributed to establishing local community security and for Chung Hyun-Tae, a contributor to the protection and support of crime victims. In particular, Park Hwa-Jin emphasized that "the protection and support of crime victims during police work will become a blue ocean, an important area of police."
