Kyungil University(President, Jeong Hyeon-Tae) announced that it has concluded a business cooperation agreement with the Gyeongbuk Techno Park, Gumi University, Daegu Catholic University, and Yeungnam University by participating in the '2017 Gyeongbuk Next Game Conference' held at the Gyeongbuk Techno Park on the 2nd.

The ceremony was attended by five officials, including the president of the Gyeonbuk Techno Park, Lee Jae-Hoon and Cho Hyun-Cheol, the head of computer engineering at Kyungil University.

Through this agreement, each organization will promote and cooperate by sharing information related to ICT, contents, and the gaming industry. They will also promote and cooperate in joint projects in related industries such as: nurturing the gaming industry’s manpower, co-hosting events, mutually sharing management, technical information, and materials and knowledge.

Cho Hyun-Chul, the head of computer engineering at Kyungil University, said, "With the agreement, the local gaming industry is expected to grow rapidly and steadily, thereby improving the employment rate of graduates of computer engineering.“ He added that he would support Kyungil University's computer engineering students to become leaders in the Gyeongbuk region's gaming industry.

Meanwhile, the '2017 Gyeongbuk Next Game Conference' hosted by the Gyeongbuk Global Game Center and co-hosted by the Korea Creative Content Agency and Gyeongbuk Techno Park, was sponsored by Gyeongsangbuk-do and Gyeongsan-si. 100 people, including gaming related officials, gaming field entrepreneurship and job preparation candidates, gathered and discussed VR content development and commercialization cases of gaming companies, domestic and foreign mobile gaming market conditions, gaming talents desired by gaming businessmen, and gaming startup challenges.
