- Korean-Russian students proclaim, "We are the next generation of fire safety protagonists!"
- For Kyungil University students, it included 9 days and 8 nights abroad training at the National Firefighting University of Russia

An overseas training program was held at the Russian National Firefighting University where Korean and Russian university students gathered together to share opinions on fire fighting and safety issues and to develop ideas. Kyungil University (President Chung Hyun-Tae) said that 26 students attended the Russian-foreign exchange training for 9 days and 8 nights for international academic exchanges and advanced technology exploration.

It is noteworthy that 26 students from the Electrical Engineering Department, the Emergency Department, the Fire Department, the Architecture Department, and the Electronic Engineering Department conducted a 'Global Capstone Design' in five groups. Combined with the knowledge of the five departments, they created unique ideas such as a fire detector that automatically detects danger by measuring temperature and oxygen concentration, and includes a removable radio transceiver that can be easily used in emergency situations.

On the basis of this idea, the Russian National Firefighting University graduate students and professors, along with Kyungil University undergraduates and professors, gathered in Russia to hold an academic symposium. They had time to share ideas and develop ideas as to whether students' ideas were realistic and productive.

They also visited the Russian National Fire Fighting University Research Institute, venture companies, and learned about fire / emergency relief, detectors and sprinkler facilities for accidents that could occur during construction and construction. After that, they paid a visit to Argus Gefest, a renowned fire-fighting venture company in Russia which produces machines for fire detection and alarm systems, and learned high-level technical skills.

"It was most impressive that I met Russian firefighters and trained directly in Russia, an advanced country of firefighting," said Lee Hyung-Rak, a student at the Electrical Engineering Department who participated in the program. He said, "Through the symposium, I was able to talk about the fire fighting and safety field of interest and to be able to participate in cultural exchange. "

On the other hand, Kyungil University has exchanged students with Russian National Firefighting University for 4 years ago, and has signed an exchange agreement in May to expand academic exchange and cooperation at the university level.
