Kyungil University (President Chung Hyun-tae) participated in the “2018 Korea Study Abroad Expo” held at Tashkent Korean Education Center in Uzbekistan from September 9th-10th.
Park Hee-joo, Vice-Chancellor of the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, along with other members of the External Relations Team, focused on providing information and counseling to more than 500 local students about Kyungil University’s Study Abroad Program at the two day event.
Students who are currently living in Uzbekistan, but are preparing to study in Korea, were very interested in learning about Kyungil University, inquiring about its size, history, curriculum and employment rates.
In addition, there was also time for in-depth discussion to strengthen exchanges and cooperation with local education officials including the Deputy Minister of Education of Uzbekistan.
Uzbekistan has 2,716 students studying in Korea by 2017, ranking sixth in terms of size. Kyungil University is actively attracting foreign students from Uzbekistan, Vietnam, China and Myanmar.
