Kyungil University (President, Hyun Tae Chung) hosted the ‘Summer Launching Ceremony for Global Human Resources Project’ on June 8th(Friday) with about 300 students who were chosen for the summer overseas program.

They are supposed to be dispatched to all parts of the world such as the United States, the United Kingdom, and the Philippines so that they can broaden their knowledge and see more of the world, while improving their English ability and experiencing new cultures.

This project is composed of three fields – short & long language study (England, Canada, the Philippines), intensive language study (the United States for engineering, the United Kingdom for nursing & emergency medical technology), and thematic overseas experience (the Americas, Asia, Oceania, Europe).

Especially, the thematic overseas experience has been popular for Kyungil University students for 18 years since, 2000. This year more than 2 million students have been selected as well. This is a program in which KIU provides them with round-trip airfare if they submit experience plans as a team and are accepted by the committee members of the university authorities.

The president has asked them to have a wonderful time during the summer vacation period by learning and practicing worldwide views in this global project, and ultimately setting the goal of becoming a global Kyungil person for the future.
