Film director, PD, professional photographer, police chief in charge of Kyungbuk police in the past, and so on. Kyungil University (President, Hyun Tae Jung) has recruited a lot of experts from each field of Korea as new professors in the year of 2011.

Especially, new professors recruited in the department of visual content production and the school of photography and video? did not only work as a film director, a PD, a digital photography and video expert, and a professional photographer, but also they were internationally recognized as experts in each field. They are supposed to give students enhanced filed-oriented education, resulting in improving the quality of education.

Film director, Chang Yul Cho scouted an assistant professor in the department of visual content production is a talented film producer whose film ‘Again’ was selected the best Korean movie in Seoul International Film Festival. He has gone through a play producer, an author to a film producer as he worked in the fields of movie project development, production, scenario, direction. It is expected to deliver his own know-hows in classes which he has experienced and accumulated from those fields.

A professor, Hak Joon Lee who worked as a production PD at TV Chosun after a news reporter of Chosun Ilbo. Working as a reporter, online news planner, documentary film director, and entertainment program producer for years, he was nominated for the only candidate of Emmy Award three times in Korea and chosen for JCP(Jeonju Cinema Project) at 2018 Jeonju Internal Film Festival. In addition, he got awarded the best prize in the field of 2017 Singapore Asian TV Award Best Documentary and the first prize at 2018 Huston Film Festival Medical Documentary. Lee is planning to give a lecture about documentary production, OTT(Over The Top) program planning, and drama script writing.

A professional in the areas of special photography, digital photography, and digital video has been recruited in the school of photography and video. A professor, Eun Kwang Park worked for special photography, while coming and going from Seoul to New York to hold a number of displays. He won Today’s Young Art prize(the field of fine arts) the minister of culture, sports and tourism awarded in 2013.

Besides, professors Hyun Seo Kim and Seung Won Lee are experts who have excellent sense of field in the areas of digital photography and digital video respectively. Professor Kim plans to teach photoshop and photo retouching with experiences as a ‘digital graphics technology expert’ as he worked as a researcher at fashion and business studios. Professor Lee is trying his best in showing professional lectures of video edit and video color compensation based on his hands-on background concerning video editing.

Moreover, the university recruited Dr. Gun Chan Park who served as a chief at the Kyungbuk local police station in the department of police and public administration, and he is going to teach as an associate professor. Additional great scholars in relevant fields have been invited in the departments of nursing, emergency and medical technology, electrical engineering, railway, architecture engineering, sports, counselling psychology, and comics and animation.

The president Jung addressed “We will keep trying to invite excellent professors since ensuring good instructors is a driving force to upgrade the quality of education” and added “The new professors are experts to own hands-on senses, and so I hope that they will improve students’ hands-on practicality as well as give them instruction of major knowledge.”
